Bicycle Therapeutics Announces a Strategic Collaboration with Novartis to Discover, Develop and Commercialize Bicycle® Radio-Co

■  Bicycle announced that it has entered into a strategic collaboration agreement with Novartis to develop, manufacture and commercialize Bicycle®radio-conjugates (BRCs) for multiple agreed upon oncology targets.

: Bicycle은 Novartis와 다수의 합의된 암을 치료하기 위한 BRC의 개발, 제조 그리고 상업화를 위한 전략적 공동연구계약을 체결하였다고 발표하였습니다.

■ Under the terms of the agreement, Bicycle will utilize its proprietary phage platform to discover Bicycles to be developed into Bicycle® radio-conjugates (BRCs). Novartis will be responsible for further development, manufacture and commercialization of the BRCs. Novartis will fund all pre-clinical and clinical development and commercialization activities. Bicycle will receive a $50 million upfront payment and is eligible for development and commercial-based milestone payments totaling up to $1.7 billion. Bicycle will also be eligible to receive tiered royalties on Bicycle-based medicines commercialized by Novartis.

: 구체적인 계약의 내용은, Bicycle이 보유한 phage platform을 이용하고 Novartis는 추가 개발, 제조 그리고 상업화를 담당하는 것을 목적으로, Novartis가 전임상, 임상개발 및 상업화에 필요한 자금을 부담하는 것입니다. Bicycle은 전략적 공동연구에 대한 대가로 5천만 달러의 선금을 지급받게 되며, 추가의 개발 및 상업화 관련 마일스톤이 달성되는 경우 총 $1.7 billion의 규모를 지급받을 수 있으며, 별도로 상업화되는 의약품에 대해 단계별 로열티 또한 설정하였다는 보도입니다.

Novartis taps Bicycle to develop radiopharmaceutical drugs for cancer

■ With this deal, Novartis aims to use these “bicycles” as the basis of a new type of radiopharmaceutical, which typically consist of a radioactive isotope paired to a targeting component by a linking molecule.

: 이번 계약으로 Novartis는 이러한 bicycle를 활용한 새로운 유형의 방사성 의약품의 기초로 사용하고자 하며 목표로 하는 의약품은 linking molecule에 의해 표적과 연결된 방사성 동위원소로 구성됩니다.

■ Novartis is a leader in radiopharmaceuticals with two approved therapies and we believe it is notable that Novartis is leveraging the Bicycle platform for development of next-generation programs.
